尤里·加加林，1934年生于苏联，宇航员。1961年4月12日乘东方1号飞船绕地球一周，完成人类历史上首次有人宇宙飞行。108分钟的飞行在冷战宇宙开发竞争中确立了苏联的胜利，也成为人类踏出地球的历史性瞬间。1968年在训练飞行事故中遇难，享年34岁。
